After a final in Business Law I visited Doug Chapman’s Hyperfit USA to take a look at his Boot Camp classes. Doug has some pretty great people at HyperFit. If you are ever in Ann Arbor stop by his 9000 sq ft facility.

1st Week of Boot Camp Classes at Rogue

Troy and Eric have been busy teaching the 1st ever official CrossFit based Boot Camp classes in Columbus, Ohio. We have been a CrossFit affiliate since October of 2006 and can’t wait to bring fundamental strength training at our new facility.

We have held 10 classes this week already and everyone loves it! I think many are surprised that the workouts can be performed by anyone with the proper coaching. We start everyone at their own pace to get a feel for how the workouts will task them.

Troy’s wife Sara Taylor and Tobey McBride are learning very quickly to love this new approach to training.

Troy during RKC snatch Test

Troy Taylor, Rogue trainer, during the Russian Kettlebell Challenge Snatch Test. Troy had to perform 64 24kilo/53lb snatches, switching arms once without setting it back down. Troy had performed the snatch with a 35lb kettlebell only so he learned very quickly that this would be a test of will for him. Troy passed as part of his instructor certification. Troy & Bill are now both certified RKC instructors.

Bill will be teaching kettlebell training sessions on Saturday and Sunday at 1PM. The training session will consist of skills and a fun packed workout at the end. I guarantee this will be unlike any other workout you have ever tried.

Monday – 1st official day of Business

It is amazing what you can do with a 50′ rope, crazy ideas. Today was very succesful, we taught our first training sessions. Brian has officially learned the CrossFit squat through squat therapy.

All of the people we have met have been great, tell your friends, bring your family. We can train kids as well, it is pretty neat to see their eyes light up when they see rings!

All of our workouts are based off of the CrossFit methods mixed with unique training equipment. Take a look at the links below and many of your questions will be answered. We mix in kettlebell work into our workouts and focus on teaching the proper technique without fail. Each class will have a trainer and most likely you will never do the same workout twice!! Rogue Style

We had an awesome turnout Saturday, things are starting to get rolling. Come in for a free workout and see what we are all about. Our training program is scaleable and designed to bring functional movement back to everyone. You won’t find mirrors or Nautilus equipment, you will just find great trainers willing to work with everyone. We are based on CrossFit fundamentals mixed with Kettlebell training. You will rarely do the same workout and will without fail gain mobility, flexibility and endurance.

For our “Firebreathers”, go buy some flat soled shoes and get ready to work!
