Concept 2 Class on Saturday Morning!

Sara and Kevin Mueller will be on site to help everyone learn the correct rowing techniques on Saturday. Sara and Kevin were on the Ohio State Crew Team in College.

Saturday Events:

10-12PM: Strength and Conditioning – Open Gym
10-12PM: Concept 2 Training
11-12PM: Free Intro Sessions – Call and let us know if you will be coming in for an intro to the Rogue Program
12PM: Team All Level Class
1PM: CrossFit Games/Level 3 Class

If you miss all of that, come by on Sunday for the Russian Kettlebell Class!

Dumbell Madness

Whitehall Firefighters came in today to get a taste of functional fitness…Rogue Style! It was awesome to have them here. Great job guys!

Max Pushups
200M Run

Get as many pushups as you can in 20 minutes. You have to run when you fail on pushups.

Corrine heads back to San Fran

Corrine heads back to CrossFit SanFransisco We enjoyed having her here over the last couple weeks. If you were wondering how she paid us for her training, it was with t-shirts from other affiliates! Corrine is a Rogue attorney, good luck on the California Bar!

What is the female smile that we see in here everyday? I was just talking to Coach McCauley in Savanna and he said that he sees this as well. When the ladies that workout here learn the Olympic lifts or get their first pullup, I always see this smile. The sense of achieving something they didn’t think was possible and the mind sends the signal for a SEG. The picture above has two women doing kipping pullups and they both had the same smile when they finally got their first pullup. I can’t wait to see more people achieve the unthinkable.

Should I start Training at Rogue? Day 1

I don’t think I am in shape enough to start training yet?
We have 3 different ways to enter the program and we scale our workouts to the individual. How to Get Started

Are the classes hard?

We get asked this all the time, we have Level 1 & 2 classes to allow people time to get acclimated to the movements and intensity. We will soon be adding Level 3 classes to feed the thirst for knowledge and conditioning levels. Simple answer is Yes you will have to work harder than with your normal trainer. You will work harder because you don’t want your friend to get a better time or you set a goal for yourself. You won’t work hard because we stand over you and make you push yourself to the limit.

What do you actually learn at Rogue Fitness?

Bodyweight Movements, plyometrics, dumbbell movements, Russian Kettlebells, Olympic and Powerlfting Movements. Anything and everything we can get our hands on that will keep you running, jumping, pulling and pushing for many decades to come!

Can I train with my husband, wife, brother, sister, mother, father, son or daughter?

Yes, Yes, Yes, Yes, Yes, Yes and Yes as long as they are old enough to pass a brief fitness assessment. We have couples that train together everyday, interesting competitive environment!

Will training there degrade my ability to compete in a triathlon or marathon?

It is more likely that training with CrossFit and kettlebells will improve your tri times but your long distance running will degrade your CrossFit times!

Can I get big doing CrossFit?

Yes, depending on the amount/type of food you eat you can achieve the body type that you desire. Anything except weak as one of your choices!

Kettlebell Relays!

Today we worked on lateral strength of the knees, worked on loading the knee from all directions. Sometimes much of what we do is straight up and down, you never know when you are going to take a blow from the side. Knee stability is key to keeping you out of surgery!
